Hotel Villa Fanny

This must be the most precious hotel in all of Cagliari. Located in a renovated Villa (more like a small palace), this boutique hotel just oozes good taste and character. Rooms are very large for the price range with impeccable design, while still feeling lived-in. It feels more like you are staying at your millionaire friend’s house than at a hotel. Personnel is friendly and anticipates your needs, for example they notice there is salt missing on your table before you ask for it, or when we arrived late in the evening, they asked if we needed a reservation at a restaurant. Followed-up with questions of which style of food we want. The breakfast room is one of the nicest I’ve ever been in. And breakfast is good and plentiful (which is not always the case in Italy). It looks on the map like you are far away from the city Centre but that is actually not the case. A short 5 min walk brings you to the main walking street of the new centre.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite Hotel Villa Fanny on Sardinia with a large group of seven friends, and I must say that our experience surpassed all expectations. From the exceptional service to the beautiful villa property, this hotel truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the attentive and friendly staff, who made the check-in process seamless. The hotel lobby exuded elegance and charm with lovely artwork and sculptures, setting the tone for our remarkable stay. Our rooms were tastefully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. One of the standout features of our stay was the hotel's exceptional service. As a large group, we were concerned about coordinating our breakfast as we set out for a 13 hour trip around the island, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Without batting an eye they prepared delicious breakfasts to go, packed with a variety of fresh and flavorful options, ensuring that we started our long day on a high note. The hotel staff also assisted us in arranging bus transfers across the island, making our sightseeing adventures hassle-free. They provided valuable recommendations on the must-visit places, ensuring we didn't miss any of the island's hidden gems. The seamless transportation service allowed us to explore the island with peace of mind. The bus was incredibly clean and spacious. Furthermore, the concierge team was instrumental in recommending and securing dinner reservations for our large group. They curated a list of local restaurants that showcased the island's culinary delights, ensuring we experienced the best of the local cuisine. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to making our dining experiences memorable were truly commendable. In addition to the exceptional service, the hotel's amenities were top-notch. We loved hanging out in the court yard with wonderfully prepared cocktails from the bar. The hotel property was beautifully landscaped and tranquil. The Hotel Villa Fanny truly stands out for its dedication to ensuring the utmost satisfaction of its guests. The staff's warm hospitality, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island, whether traveling solo, as a couple, or in a large group. The Hotel Villa Fanny will undoubtedly exceed your expectations and leave you with cherished memories of your time spent in Sardinia. The only nit-picky negative I can think of is that the hotels elevator does not reach the third floor, so if you have any mobility concerns or are unable to navigate stairs you may need to make a special request for a room on the first or second floor. I don’t know if or when I will return to Sardinia but I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to again stay at this charming hotel on our next visit.
